We cringe when they happen, but we can't help but watch.

Miguel Lands On Some Fans

R&B singer Miguel says he got "caught up in the moment" when he tried to leap over some audience members during his performance of "Adorn." Unfortunately, he didn't quite bridge the gap between the two stage pieces, and he landed directly on some unlucky onlookers — including one that needed to ice down after the incident. During an interview later on, Miguel joked that he was very happy to meet his "new friend" Khyati. "We just met. Unfortunately, we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we're okay."

Bieber Gets Booed

While accepting the Milestone Award, Justin Bieber's speech was met with both applause and jeers from the crowd. "I'm 19 years old; I think I'm doing a pretty good job," said Bieber to what, at first, sounded like a chorus of cheers. "And basically, from my heart, I really just want to say it should really be about the music, it should be about the craft that I'm making. This is not a gimmick. I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken of." It's unclear if he was directly addressing the boos coming from the audience, but spectators at the ceremony have noted that the taunts from the crowd were much louder than they sounded on television.

Nicki MInaj Basically Gives Lil Wayne a Lap Dance

The title of this entry sums it up. At the end of their performance of "High School," rapper and former "American Idol" judge Nicki Minaj had a chair brought out on stage for Lil Wayne. Then, Wayne sat down while Minaj proceeded to dance, jiggle and gyrate all over him— an act that's all well and fine in the champagne room, but perhaps a bit much for national TV.

Madonna's Outfit and Speech

For a woman nicknamed "the material girl," Madonna sure doesn't wear a lot of the stuff. Madge took the stage to accept her Touring Artist Award in a fur jacket, stockings and her self-described "pretentious" sunglasses. The diva also gave a speech that (appropriately) came off as very diva-esque, including a complaint about the height of the microphone, her use of presenter Will.I.Am as a personal assistant, and the phrase "M-F-ers."

Taylor Swift's Self-Deprecating Humor

"You are the longest and best relationship I've ever had," said Taylor Swift at the end of her acceptance speech for Artist of the Year. It was clear that the "22" songstress was obviously joking about her own relationships and dating history, but haven't we heard enough about it at this point? We get it, Taylor — you're aware of your public image.
