As New York Fashion Week comes to a close, next year's trends have already been determined.
But we want to know what recent trends might be sticking around. Marie Claire fashion director and Project Runway judge Nina Garcia has the answers.
Nina says: "Hints of neon are still in for spring, but it's reaching over-saturation."
Keep the neon to a minimum this spring. Neon accents or accessories are the safest bet.
Nina says: "Leather leggings are not going away."
Although they may be intimidating, buying a pair could add a bit of an edge to your spring wardrobe.
Nina says: "White after labor day is a mainstay."
According to Garcia, the old rule no longer applies, so don't worry about trashing all of your white after the start of September.
Nina says: "Denim on denim can work great, but it all depends on the shade and texture."
The key is subtlety here. Go for contrasting tones and shades to get that modern-urban style.
Nina says: "As long as there is a fall and winter, fur will always be in."
Might be time to invest in a fur (of faux fur) item.
