Rye Whiskey Makes A Comeback

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Rittenhouse Rye
  • ¾ oz. Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth
  • ½ oz. Grand Marnier
  • ¼ oz. Benedictine Liqueur
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 long wide orange peel

Preparation

Stir all ingredients with ice until chilled. Strain the stirring glass contents into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a long wide orange peel.

Maple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. WhistlePig ‘100/100’ Straight Rye
  • 1 oz. apple cider
  • .5 oz. Averna Amaro Liqueur
  • .5 oz. lemon juice
  • .25 oz. Vermont maple syrup
  • honey crisp apple slices

Preparation

Shake ingredients with ice and strain using a mesh strainer into a cocktail glass or coupe. Garnish with honey crisp apple slices.

Malena

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Campari
  • 1 oz. Wild Turkey 81 Rye Whiskey
  • ¾ oz. Ruby Port
  • 5 drops of orange blossom water
  • 2 dashes of orange bitters
  • 1 orange half wheel
  • ground cinnamon

Preparation

Stir all ingredients, except orange blossom water, in a mixing glass briefly. Add 5 drops of orange blossom water over ice in rocks glass. Strain liquid in mixing glass into rocks glass. Garnish with ground cinnamon and an orange half wheel.
