There was absolutely nothing wrong with Musgraves' performance of "Follow Your Arrow," but it was a victim of poor scheduling. In no way should it have followed Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, who brought the theater to their feet for a performance filled with smoke, strobe lights, paint splatters, and what seemed to be literal explosions.
Ringo Starr suited up in a sparkly jacket to perform "Photograph" with his All-Starr Band (where he was lost in the sing-along), and later drummed along to Paul McCartney's newest single "Queenie Eye" (where he was lost under McCartney's usual drummer, Abe Laboriel Jr.).
The final performance of the night featured Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age rocking out with Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac, but viewers at home only got to see the first few moments before it cut out. Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor (right) was apparently upset, and soon shared his displeasure on Twitter.
Swift was pretty sure she was getting that Record of the Year award. So sure, in fact, that when Daft Punk's name was called out as the winner instead of her, she busted out her signature "Gosh, I'm so surprised!" face anyway.
