Kristen's Baffling Limp

When Kristen Stewart walked up to present the award for Achievement in Production Design, something was noticeably wrong with her gait. Reports later explained that Stewart had previously stepped on glass and cut herself, and was using crutches earlier in the evening. She decided to forgo the crutches at the telecast, causing her to hobble.

Seth's Crude Jokes

Some felt that Seth MacFarlane pushed the envelope a bit too far. Whether the Oscar host was comparing Chris Brown and Rihanna's relationship to "Django Unchained" or singing about boobs, MacFarlane led some critics, like Culture Media Institute's Matt Philbin, to remark that his jokes were "awkward and embarrassing," especially if viewers were watching with their children.

The 'In Memoriam' Snubs

It seems like every year, the Oscars forget a few of the most accomplished deceased filmmakers or actors during their "In Memoriam" segment. This year, they neglected to mention film and TV actors Andy Griffith, Larry Hagman, Sherman Hemsley and Phyllis Diller, among others. We understand they were accounting for time, but when your telecast runs over three hours, what's a few more minutes? (Some of these actors were mentioned in a supplemental gallery published by the Academy.)

Jennifer Lawrence's Fall

Jennifer Lawrence's Dior dress may have proved to be too much for the "Silver Linings Playbook" actress to handle, because she stumbled over herself and fell on the way to the stage. Luckily, Lawrence has a great sense of humor, and she was able to laugh off her embarrassment at the beginning of her acceptance speech.

Renée Zellweger, In General

The 2002 film adaptation of "Chicago" got lots of attention at this year's awards, which culminated in a reunion of the cast. Actress Renée Zellweger, however, appeared to be having some trouble reading the names of the winners, and also appeared to be swaying. Other media outlets also commented on her oddly smooth complexion.
