The Five Most Awkward Moments at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards

Who gets your vote?

Where's Jennifer Lawrence?

Who knew that one of the most awkward moments of the night would stem from the absence of the adorably awkward Jennifer Lawrence? It didn't seem like a huge deal at first, but after winning the award for Best Kiss (shared with "Silver Linings Playbook" co-star Bradley Cooper) and another for Best Female performance, Lawrence's presence was sorely missed. According to Deadline, there was an unexpected "scheduling conflict” which prevented the actress from taking part in the ceremony (which also featured a huge plug for her upcoming film, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.")

Snoop Lion and Kesha's New Joint

Taking the stage to introduce a musical performance by hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) and Kesha (sometimes known as Ke$ha) casually passed a suspicious-looking cigarette back and forth. It was unclear what they were actually smoking (or why they felt they needed a fix at that exact moment), but many assumed it probably wasn't tobacco they were puffing on.

Aubrey Plaza Interrupts Will Ferrell

The ceremony's Comedic Genius award was given to "Anchorman" and "Step Brothers" star Will Ferrell, but someone else seemed intent on stealing his spotlight. "Parks and Recreation" actress Aubrey Plaza rushed the stage and tried to grab Ferrell's award, but he held fast and she eventually went back to her seat, spilling her drink in the process. Ferrell played it off like it was scripted ("Aubrey Plaza, everyone. Just like we rehearsed it,") but producers say it wasn't, and they apparently asked Plaza to leave shortly afterward.

Taylor Lautner's Acceptance Speech

Taylor Lautner was presented with the award for Best Shirtless Performance by Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Zac Efron. He sported an ironic fake beer belly onstage, but judging by the audience's reaction, we're guessing he didn't get quite as many laughs as he was hoping.

Selena Gomez Sings 'Come And Get It'

It's an undeniably catchy tune, but Selena wasn't quite nailing those notes. (She gets bonus points for not lip-synching, though.) Some watching at home criticized her performance for being culturally insensitive, too. “Selena Gomez, take that bindi of your head, cultural appropriation is not cute. And neither is your singing,” wrote one Twitter user.
